HANCOCK COUNTY — A local restoration company is giving back to frontline workers and looking to hire more employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jason Pelcha, the owner Restoration One based out of Greenfield, says they started disinfecting Hancock County Sheriff's deputies vehicles. They plan to finish their fleet of cars this week.

Pelcha says it's his company's way of saying thank you to those still working and helping others during the pandemic.

"They are on scene first. They keep our streets safe," Pelcha said. "We came up with a plan, 'Hey let's go in and do this charity event for them, even for nurses, doctors, fire departments, police officers. Let's keep them safe.'"

Employees are also cleaning local stores, hospitals, and small businesses.

The extra business has allowed them to hire people who have been laid off. Pelcha says they are still hiring for water damage techs and general cleaning staff.

The company is looking to expand its efforts to help out frontline workers in other counties for free.
