INDIANAPOLIS — A neighborhood prayer walk was held Sunday on the northeast side of Indianapolis at the site of a future food pantry.

The former Starbucks in Castleton on East 82nd Street will be a drive-thru food pantry operated by Faith Hope and Love Community. The food pantry is scheduled to open in the coming weeks.

The goal is to help safely deliver food to those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Once open, the pantry plans to help hundreds of families by giving them things like healthy foods and hygiene products.

Before it can open, its looking for support from the community. It's looking for tables, chairs, floor mats, a large or commercial refrigerator, and 10 steel shelving units.
