INDIANAPOLIS — A new food pantry in the Castleton area is planning to give away hundreds of lunches during its pre-grand opening Friday.
Faith Hope and Love Community is opening a drive-thru food pantry at the former Starbucks location, 6706 East 82nd Street, to help people in the community.
BBQ lunches will be handed out to to hundreds of families in Indianapolis Friday. The lunches will include bread, chips, tortillas, drinks, and treats.
The grand opening for the food pantry is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.-noon Saturday.
Every Saturday after the grand opening, the pantry will be open from 10:30 a.m.-noon. Plans are being made to open the pantry on additional days.
The pantry is also looking for the community's support to help get some items they need to open.
