INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts tight end Jack Doyle may have missed a few games this season, but none of that mattered Monday evening when he invited some local kids to celebrate his birthday - which was actually back in May.
Dave and Busters in Castleton hosted Doyle and a group of kids from the Dayspring Center - which assists more than 150 homeless families from the Indianapolis area.
Doyle grew up in Indianapolis and has stayed closely tied to the community - giving back whenever he can.
"As an NFL player, you're given a platform to make a kids day," said Doyle. "I'm having a ton of fun with it. They don't realize the effect they have on me is probably more than I have on them."
Monday night, he even enlisted help from some of his teammates - like Jacoby Brisset and Mo Alie-Cox.
"It's a big part of the horseshoe," said Doyle. "We have a great locker room of guys that get that, enjoy the time they get to spend."
