INDIANAPOLIS — Frank Reich has been named the head coach of the Carolina Panthers, according to a tweet from the team.
Reich coached the Indianapolis Colts from 2018 until his firing in the middle of the 2022 NFL season. He went 41-35-1 in his time in Indianapolis.
The Panthers went 7-10 in 2022, narrowly missing the NFL playoffs under interim coach Steve Wilks. The team has missed the playoffs five straight seasons.
Frank Reich was the Panthers first ever quarterback after the team's start in 1995. He threw the team's first ever touchdown to Pete Metzelaars in their first game agains the Atlanta Falcons.
