BLOOMINGTON — On a night when Indiana badly needed a win, the Hoosiers got one. They upset number 21 Iowa at Assembly Hall 89-77, snapping a four game losing streak.
I.U. was in control all night, leading by 15 points at the half and as many as 20 in the second half. Much of the credit goes to DeVonte Green who hit seven three-pointers on his way to 27 points.
The Hoosiers also owned the boards, with a 38-28 rebounding advantage.
The victory gives Indiana a 16-8 overall record and 6-7 in conference play, with seven regular-season games left. Iowa has lost three of its last five games and is now 17-8 overall and 8-6 in the Big Ten.
The Hoosiers travel to Michigan on Sunday.
