BLOOMINGTON — Indiana blew a 12-point second half lead to Penn State, but won the game in overtime, 87-85 Wednesday at Assembly Hall.
It's the season's first Big Ten victory for the Hoosiers who are 6-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
IU had a five point halftime lead and went up by 12 midway into the second half. But the Nittany Lions fought back and took a one point lead with 22-seconds left. The game went into overtime after Indiana's Trayce Jackson-Davis missed the second of two free throws.
Penn State tied the game with 43-seconds left in the extra period. The Hoosiers then pulled it out when Rob Phinisee hit a floater with 13-seconds left.
Jackson-Davis led Indiana with 21-points. Al Durham has 18 and Armaan Franklin added 16.
Penn State falls to 3-4 overall and 0-3 in Big Ten play.
