SPEEDWAY, Ind. -- IndyCar rookie Max Chilton hit the wall during an early portion of Indy 500 practice on Saturday.
Chilton, 25, is a native of England. He was on his third lap during the practice session when his car, the No. 8 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet, spun and hit the wall near Turn 2.
Chilton walked away from the crash and was later cleared to drive.
