Indians advance to next round of postseason

The Indianapolis Indians are now three wins away from a Governor’s Cup championship.

After finishing a three-game sweep the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders on Friday, the Indians will next play the Columbus Clippers.

Games 1 and 2 of the championship series are on Tuesday and Wednesday. The time for the games will be announced when the opponent is decided.

Games 3-5 will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Victory Field around 7 p.m. each night, but only if games 4 and 5 are needed.

With Friday night’s win against the RailRiders, the Indians won their first postseason series in 10 years, and the first home postseason game in 15 years.

For the playoff games, regular season prices stay in effect -- $16, $12, or $10, depending on where the seats are.

The Dollar Menu promotion will also be in effect.

The winner of the Governor’s Cup will play against the Pacific Coast League Champion, one of the other leagues in AAA baseball.
