Indy Eleven to resume play July 11 at Lucas Oil Stadium

INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Eleven is set to resume its 2020 season on Saturday, July 11, after a vote of the United Soccer League Championship Board of Governors on Thursday.

According to an announcement from the Indy Eleven, a start date for resuming the season has been set for Saturday, July 11, against Saint Louis FC at Lucas Oil Stadium. The match is set for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff that can be seen live on ESPN+. The stadium will also be open to fans at a limited capacity

The team said the league's return to play will be conducted in strict alignment with all local and state public health guidelines. Indy Eleven has coordinated with Lucas Oil Stadium, the Capital Improvement Board and numerous public health organizations to create a health and safety plan in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Guidelines in the plan include mandatory requirements such as, mandatory face masks and temperature checks upon entry for all fans.

The league also remains in regular dialogue with the USL Players Association on all matters concerning player health and wellness protocols.

Five of the USL Championship’s opening nine games between July 11-13 will be aired live on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes, with the remaining games available on ESPN+. The complete schedule for the remainder of the 2020 USL Championship season will be released soon.
