PINELLAS COUNTY, FL. — A semi-truck hauling an IndyCar race car to the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg caught on fire early Wednesday morning on a Florida interstate.

It's not a good state to the 2020 season for Colton Herta and the Andretti Harding Steinbrenner Racing Team.

WFTS in Tampa reports some pit equipment was damaged in flames. Currently, it is unknown if the fire damaged the number 88 car.

No one was injured.
