Maryland rallies late for 61-60 win over Purdue

COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland rallied in the final four minutes of the game for a 61-60 win over Purdue Tuesday in College Park, Maryland.

In what was a close game all night, the Boilermakers jumped ahead by seven points at the four minute mark. But the Terrapins outscored Purdue 12-4 the rest of the game.

With three seconds left, Maryland's Eric Ayala nailed a pair of free throws for the win.

Trevion Williams led Purdue with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Aaron Wiggins had 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Terps.

The Boilermakers, who are ranked 24th in the nation this week, are now 7-5 in the Big Ten and 12-7 overall.

Maryland improved to 10-8 overall and 4-7 in the conference.
