A line of strong to severe thunderstorms are pushing through the region this afternoon.

Storm Updates —
Putnam County Emergency Management says they have heavy rain and some trees down in the Cloverdale area and along US 40 but the worst of the storm didn't begin until it passed them.

Boone County Emergency Management says they only have reports of a few trees down in the county and no other damage areas.

Hendricks County Emergency Management says they have some trees down in the Danville area and multiple power outages.

3:00 p.m.
Roughly 10,000 IPL and Duke customers are without power at this time because of the storms moving through the area.

2:46 p.m.
The National Weather Service has issued the following statement on the weather after a 73 mph wind gust was reported at Indianapolis International Airport:

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing widespread wind damage across Hendricks and moving into Marion County. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.

2:30 p.m.
The weather service has issued a severe thunderstorm WARNING for Monroe, Sullivan, Knox, Clay, Owen, Martin, Greene, Lawrence and Daviess counties until 3:15 p.m.

2:23 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm WARNING has been issued for Marion, Johnson, Boone, Hamilton, Hendricks and Morgan counties until 3 p.m.

2:10 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm WATCH is in effect for much of central Indiana through 6 p.m.

1:54 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm WARNING has been issued for Carroll, Tippecanoe, Clinton, Howard, Hendricks, Boone, Montgomery and Putnam counties until 2:30 p.m.

1:47 p.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm WARNING for Monroe, Clay, Owen and Greene counties until 2:30 p.m.

1:26 p.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm WARNING for Fountain, Tippecanoe, Parke, Warren and Montgomery counties until 2 p.m.
