INDIANAPOLIS -- Two days after strong winds swept across the state, most central Indiana Duke and IPL customers are back on line.

At 9 p.m. Friday, just 85 IPL customers were still in the dark.

With the exception of an area between Terre Haute and Evansville, Duke has restored power. That includes an area of Carmel and Westfield where the utility said it could be Sunday before repairs were finished.

Crews made significant progress duiriong the day on Friday.

At the height of the storm Wednesday, the two electric utilities had over 100,00 outages.

Wednesday's storm packed wind gusts of up to 70 miles-per-hour along with an F1 tornado that left a good deal of damage in Mooresville.
