INDIANAPOLIS — For the second straight night, key Indianapolis streets and roads will be treated with salt.
With temperatures dipping down into the upper 20's and the possibility of flurries and drizzle, the Department of Public Works will deploy 40 salt trucks starting at 11 p.m.
The focus will be on Indianapolis thoroughfares and some secondary streets.
The DPW is reminding people to drive with care, especially on bridge overpasses and locations known to be slick. Allow plenty of clearance near other vehicles and keep at least three car lengths of space between your vehicle and DPW trucks.
